This was our favorite place we stayed in all of Scotland. The place was affordable, clean, and beautiful. We took family photos with the Barra Castle in the background. The next door shop was the best breakfast we had the whole trip. So happy we stayed here!
We have an absolutely lovely stay. Although the buildings were really very old and had a lot of history, the rooms Had all been upgraded had fabulous design. We were delighted with great water pressure. We only stayed one night but it was a great location. The cafe next door was delicious and everything was fresh. We live in a city over from what is supposed to be a strawberry capital of the world and I beg to differ. The berries including strawberries, were fabulous some of the best of ever eaten.
Absolutely recommend the Lodges at Barra Castle. Very comfortable stay in the Gatehouse. Breakfast next morning in the farm shop was very good.
Blown away by this location. Honestly does not disappoint. Great accommodation, we stayed in the Ramsay lodge. Patio doors out onto the garden, directly in the grounds of the castle. Well set up, great kitchen, living room space with everything you need. Lovely bathroom and bedroom. Food at the Barra farm shop cafe was lovely and all locally sourced. Would highly recommend and worth the 6.5hrs drive
